Good End,Great Start
Good End, Great Start In 2009 many things happened to the unit - the most significant being that our Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Chris Hooper RAFVR(T), has left to take command of 2342 (Innsworth) Sqn. Flt Lt Hooper leaves with the best wishes of all the staff and cadets of 785 Sqn, as an ex-cadet, member of staff and commanding officer of 785 Sqn he is deeply tied into its history and will always be a part of the unit.
Pilot Officer Jon Carter RAFVR(T) has taken over as Officer in Charge and has put a huge effort into increasing our numbers, both staff and cadets. We are all working together on improving the expieriance our cadets receive from the ATC. Notably the Squadron has been donated a F-16 flight simulator cockpit shell and are now working on getting it up to working condition with the eventual aim of using it for flight training.
